Rabbit ANTIBODY TO ELASTINS FROM SEVERAL SPECIES
cat#RDI-TP592 $344.00/1ml
DESCRIPTION Polyclonal antibody to elastins from several species.
-SPECIFICITY Tested by ELISA, Western blot and immunohistology techniques. Shown to cross react with elastins from the following species in decreasing order of reactivity: Pig, Human, Dog, Chick, Rat, and low reactivity for Cow. SUGGESTED WORKING DILUTIONS Different assay conditions require that serial dilution of all reagents be performed to determine optimal working concentrations. Prepare working dilution immediately before use. Storage at a working dilution may result in performance loss. Suggesting starting dilutions are as follows: Titer ca. 1:4000 for human elastin Store at 4°C until rehydrated. Stable for a minimum of 1 year at 4°C. No preservatives added. Additional biological protection may be provided with 0.01% thimerosal. Non-Sterile. REHYDRATION and STORAGE: Sample may be diluted directly into phosphate buffered saline (PBS), neutral pH buffer, or H2O., However, dilution with 50% glycerol is preferred. This procedure eliminates freezing at -20°C and 50% glycerol is an effective biological inhibitor when the product is stored at 4°C. At most working dilutions, the level of glycerol is too small to affect most assays. Note: Variations in temperature due to freeze cycles may cause loss of activity when rehydrated product is stored frozen in aliquots less that 50µl.

GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT ANTIBODIES
FORM/STORAGE
All antibodies are sent lyophilized. Store at 4'C until rehydrated. Stable for a minimum of 1 year at 4'C. No preservatives have been added. Additional biological protection may be provided with 0.01% thimerosal. Do not use sodium azide if antibody is to be used with peroxidase. Non-sterile.
REHYDRATION AND STORAGE:
Two methods for rehydration and storage are recommended to meet needs. Procedure A using 50% glycerol is preferred. It eliminates freezing at -20'C and 50% glycerol is an effective biological inhibitor when the product is stored at 4'C. At most working dilutions, the level of glycerol is to small to affect most assays.
Procedure A
Mis 1 ml glycerol with 1 ml of reagent quality water. Transfer 1 ml of this 50% glycerol solution to the product vial. Rotate the vial until the lyophilized pellet is dissolved. Dilute to desired concentration with PBS or other buffer. This product may be stored either refrigerated or frozen as desired. Product is stable for minimum of 1 year.
Procedure B
Rehydrate with 1 ml of reagent quality water. Dilute to desired concentration with PBS or other buffer. This product may be stored for up to 1 week refrigerated; thereafter, it should be stored frozen. When frozen, product is stable for a minimum of 1 year.
Note: Variations in temperature due to freeze cycles may cause loss of activity when rehydrated product is stored frozen in aliquots less than 50 ul.
SUGGESTED WORKING DILUTIONS:
Different assay conditions require that serial dilution of all reagents be performed to determine optimal working concentrations Prepare working dilution immediately before use. Storage at a working dilution may result in performance loss. Unless otherwiseindicated, suggesting starting dilutions for all antibodies are as follows:
Microwell Plate Assays: 1:500-1:2000
Western blots 1:200-1:450
Immunoprecipitation 1:100-1:200
Histo/Cytochemistry 1:50-1:100
Immunocytochemistry 1:50-1:100
