These clones have been derived from hybridization of Sp 2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells of Balb/c mice immunized with human fatty acid binding protein (FABP).
FABP is a newly introduced plasma marker of acute myocardial infarction (AMI). The plasma kinetics of FABP (15kD) closely resemble those of myoglobin in that elevated plasma concentrations are found within 3 hour after AMI and return to normal generally within 12 to 24 hours. This makes FABP useful biochemical markers for the early assessment of exclusion of AMI.The myocardial tissue content of FABP (0.5mg/g) is 5-fold lower than that of myoglobin (2.5mg/g), but the reference plasma concentration of FABP (ca. 2ug/L) is about 15-fold lower than that of myoglobin (ca. 32mg/L), together suggesting a superior performance of FABP for early detection of AMI. FABP also appears a useful plasma marker for the estimation of myocardial infarct size.
Specificity: Clone 5B5, 9F3, 6B6, 10E1 - human fatty acid binding protein. Specific antibody titer is 10-6.
Mouse isotype: Clone 6B6 - IgG2b, clones 5B5, 9F3, 6B6, 10E1 - IgG1
Application: Human fatty acid binding protein 1 immunoassay and immunoaffinity purification. All antibodies are working in ELISA.We recommend to use following pairs of antibodies for sandwich ELISA (coating antibody - antibody for conjugate): 10E1-9F3, 10E1-5B5, 9F3-10E1, 5B5-9F3.
The best combination for sandwich immunoassay is: 9F3 MAb used as capture antibody and 10E11 as a detection MAb
-for western blot: clone 6B6
Purification: Purified by chromatography on protein A Sepharose.Purity is tested by electrophoresis.
Presentation: Each vial contains 1 milligram antibodies with concentration (see batch sheet) in PBS, pH 7.4, containing 0.1% of sodium azide as preservative.
Store at +4C.
Material safety note: This product is sold as an antibody preparation for research purpose only. Standard Laboratory Practices should be followed when handling this material. Contains sodium azide (0.1%) as preservative. Although the amount of sodium azide is very small appropriate care must be taken when handling this product.

Package: lyophilized powder. Recommend reconstituting with distilled water.
Purity: >98% as determined by a 10-20% gradient SDS-PAGE. The immunological reactivity was confirmed with a monoclonal antibody that is specific for the fatty acid binding protein.
USE: Suitable as a standard in immunoassay for early detection of acute myocardial infarction, as an immunogen for antisera production and as a racer for iodination.
Storage: Store at -20 DEG C. Avoid frequent freeze thaw cycles.
Warning: Made with human heart tissue. Blood samples from tissue donors were tested and found negative for HbSAg, HIV-1 and HIV-2 antibodies and HCV. Treat as if capable of transmitting infection Handle at Biosafety Level II conditions.
For IN Vitro Research Use Only-Not For Use IN Or on Humans Or Animals.
