Rabbit anti-Caveolin-1

cat# RDI-CAVEOL1abrX   $469.00/100ul

Package: 100 ul(0.1mg/ml) of affinity purified rabbit serum with 1.0 mg/ml BSA and 0.05% sodium azide. Store at -20C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Immunogen: Synthetic peptide: M(1) S G G K Y V D S E G H L Y T V P(17) C

The immunizing peptide corresponds to amino acid residues 1-17 from human caveolin-1. This sequence is completely conserved between human, mouse, canine, bovine, and rat. The immunizing peptide (Cat#RDI-CAVEOL1X-CP $156.00) is available for use in neutralization and control experiments.

Use: This polyclonal antibody detects caveolin-1 from canine, hamster, mouse and rat tissues and cells. It has been successfully used in Western blot and immunoprecipitation procedures. By Western blot, this antibody detects an ~22 kDa protein representing caveolin-1 from rat heart protein extract

Storage: Store at -20 DEG C upon receipt. Avoid frequent freeze thaw cycles. Recommend aliquoting. BEFORE OPENING, suggest centrifuging for 1 minute at 1000 RPM to concentrate material in vial.

Background: Caveolae are specialized domains of the plasma membrane that are implicated in the sequestration of a variety of lipid and protein molecules. It has been suggested that these important cellular organelles have a pivotal role in such diverse biochemical processes as lipid metabolism, growth regulation, signal transduction, and apoptosis. Caveolin interacts with and regulates heterotrimeric G-proteins. Currently, there are three members of the caveolin multigene family which are known to encode 21-24 kDa integral membrane proteins that comprise the major structural component of the caveolar membrane in vivo. Caveolin-2 protein is abundantly expressed in fibroblasts and differentiated adipocytes, smooth and skeletal muscle, and endothelial cells. The expression of caveolin-1 is similar to that of caveolin-2 while caveolin-3 expression appears to be limited to muscle tissue types

Rabbit anti-Caveolin-2

cat# RDI-CAVEOL2abrX   $469.00/100ul

Package: 100 ul(0.1mg/ml) of affinity purified rabbit serum with 1.0 mg/ml BSA and 0.05% sodium azide. Store at -20C.

Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Immunogen: Synthetic peptide:   M(1) G L E T E K A D V Q L F M A D D A Y(19) C

The immunizing peptide corresponds to amino acid residues 1-19 of human caveolin-2. This sequence is completely conserved in mouse and rat caveolin-2. The immunizing peptide (Cat#RDI-CAVEOL2X-CP $188.00) is available for use in neutralization and control experiments.

Use: detects caveolin-2 from rat tissues. This antibody does not detect caveolin-1 or -3. This polyclonal has been successfully used in Western blot and immunoprecipitation procedures. By Western blot, this antibody detects a ~21 kDa protein representing caveolin-2 from rat heart homogenate. -reactivity expected with human and mouse based on immunogen sequence homology.

Storage: Store at -20 DEG C upon receipt. Avoid frequent freeze thaw cycles. Recommend aliquoting. BEFORE OPENING, suggest centrifuging for 1 minute at 1000 RPM to concentrate material in vial.
