Reactivity: Clone GL1 reacts with the B7-2 co stimulatory molecule expressed on antigen presenting cells:dendritic cells and activated B cells within 24 hours of stimuklation by LPS, anti-CD40, anti-surface IgG or specific antigen. Clone GL1 blocks MLR and stimulation of T cells by natural antigen-presenting cells. CD80 is an alternative ligand for CD28 and CTLA- 4.

USE: -flow cytometry(<1ug/1M cells) (positive control spleen cells)

         -ligand blocking (no azide formulation)

         -histochemistry:acetone fixed frozen sections

        -immunoprecipitation

Note: in certain applications, the use of an Fc blocking reagent may be desirable to reduce non specific binding of GL1 antibody to cells bearing the FCgamma receptor (see ms CD16/32 ab).
