Product Description
FTSJ3 polyclonal antibody is available at gentaur for next week delivery
Background: FTSJ3, also known as putative rRNA methyltransferase 3, is an 847 amino acid nuclear protein that belongs to the RlmE family. Also belonging to the methyltransferase superfamily, FTSJ3 most likely functions as a methyltransferase. The gene that encodes FTSJ3 consists of approximately 8,239 bases and maps to human chromosome 17q23.3. Encoding more than 1,200 genes, chromosome 17 comprises over 2.5% of the human genome. Two key tumor suppressor genes are associated with chromosome 17, namely, p53 and BRCA1. Tumor suppressor p53 is necessary for maintenance of cellular genetic integrity by moderating cell fate through DNA repair versus cell death.
