Immunogen:
Venezuelan equine encephalitis virus replicons encoding Zaire ebolavirus (EBOV) glycoprotein (GP) were used to generate the original mouse monoclonal antibody.
Description:
A murine / human chimeric IgG produced in N. benthamiana and is reactive to EBOV GP. The antibody detects GP in virus-like particles (VLP) and recombinant GP without the transmembrane region (rGPΔTM).
Supplied:
100 µg is supplied at a concentration of 2.456 mg/mL. No preservative is added.
Purification:
Antibody is purified using immobilized protein A.
Clonality:
Murine variable, human constant of the IgG1 isotype.
Relevance:
The antibody can be used for detection of EBOV GP in ELISA. A mixture of all three anti-EBOV GP chimeric antibodies was protective against lethal challenge in a nonhuman primate study (Olinger et al. PNAS 2012, vol. 109, no. 44, 18030-18035).
ELISA:
Assay-dependent dilution
WB:
Not recommended because this antibody recognizes a conformational epitope.
Cross Reactivity:
Cross-reactivity was observed against Sudan ebolavirus (SUDV) VLP and especially against SUDV rGPΔTM. No cross-reactivity against Marburg Virus (MARV) VLP or rGPΔTM.
Storage:
2-3 weeks +4oC, -20◦C long term
