Category Mouse monoclonal

Immunoglobulin Class IgG1

Form/Purification Hybridoma culture supernatant

Antigen synthetic peptide (aa 5-27 from N-terminus of human adipophilin)

Clinical Application/

Specificity New specific marker for liposarcoma. Adipophilin is present in milk fat globule membranes and on the surface of lipid droplets in various cultured cell lines, inducible by etomixir **

Polypeptide Reacting: Adipophilin, Mr 48,100.13 (calculated from aa sequence data) apparent Mr 52,000 (after SDS-PAGE); pI 6.72

Immunolocalization: Adipophilin is positively detected in the glandular cells of lactating mammary gland (ductal cells are negative), zona fasciculata of the adrenal gland, Sertoli cells of the testis, and in fat-accumulating hepatocytes of alcoholic cirrhotic fatty liver, adipocytes are negative. Specific detection of liposarcoma. Also positively stained are lipid storing CD68 positive macrophages

Antigen Recognizied: Human, rat, dog (negative with bovine and mouse)

Reactivities on cultured Cell Lines: Caco, PLC, HaCat, SV80, RD 125, Huvec (human umbilical cord endothelial), RV, PC-12 (rat adrenal gland), MDCK; negative with glioma

Application o Immunoblotting o Immunohistochemistry on frozen tissue, paraffin embedded after high t temp/microwave treatment

Working Dilution: Ready to Use for immunohistochemistry (unpurified)

-approx 1:10 for purified (50ug in 1ml)

Storage At 2-8 DEC C

Volume 5 ml (unpurified) or 50ug purified or 0.25ml (50ug FITC conjugated)
