unconjugated/purified spec:
Size: 50 mg (lyophilized)
Antibody Concentration: 10.0 mg/ml (by UV absorbance at 280 nm)
Buffer: 0.02 M Potassium Phosphate, 0.15 M Sodium Chloride,pH 7.2
Stablizer: None
Preservative: 0.01% (w/v) Sodium Azide
Antigen: adenosine deaminase (calf spleen)
Applications: suitable for immunoblotting (western or dot blot),ELISA, immunoprecipitation, conjugation and most immunological methods requiring high titer and specificity.
-This polyclonal reacts with the glycoprotein adenosine deaminase (ADA) isolated from calf spleen (30kda). ADA deficiency results in severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID), ADA may be elevated in serum due to primary liver disease, secondary hepatiic neoplasia and portal cirrhosis. ADA may be elevated in cerospinal fluid upon tuberculous meningitis.Reactivity with the enzyme from othersources or specific isozymes is unkown.
Recommended Dilutions: Not etermined. Optimal titers for applications should be determined by the researcher. apoprox 1:2K-10K Elisa, 1:100 western blot
Storage Conditions: Store vial at 4'C prior to restoration. Re-store with 5.0 ml of deionized water (or equivalent). Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4'C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. For extended storage aliquot contents and freeze at -20'C or below. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Expiration date is one (1)year from date of reconstitution.
Purity and Specificity: This product is an IgG fraction antibody purified from monospecific antiserum by a multi-step process which includes delipidation, salt fractionation and ion exchange chromatography followed by extensive dialysis against the buffer stated above. Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti- rabbit Serum as well as purified and partially purified Adenosine Deaminase [Calf Spleen]. Cross reactivity against Adenosine Deaminase from other tissues and species may occur but have not been specifically determined.
