RDI Division of Fitzgerald Industries Intl offers a wide line of antibodies. Since no one antibody works best for all applications (neutralization, blotting, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies to help solve this problem. Please inquire for other applications or types of antibodies not listed below.
Category Rabbit polyclonal
Form/Purification Prediluted rabbit serum (lyoph.)
Immunogen Bombesin (#7113, Peninsula), conjugated to BSA
Description/Specificity: Bombesin is an amphibian peptide and the mammalian counterpart is referred to as Gastrin Releasing Peptide (GRP). Bombesin/GRP is widely distributed in the brain, in peripheral nerves (particularly numerous in the gut) and in endocrine cells of some sub-mammalian species, e.g. in the oxyntic mucosa of birds. The peptide stimulates secretion from endocrine and exocrine cells and intestinal smooth muscle activity. Bombesin/GRP occurs frequently in the bronchial carcinoids.
Absorption with 10-100 µg bombesin and GRP per ml diluted antiserum abolishes the staining.
Positive Control Formalin-fixed paraffin and frozen sections of rat or chicken stomach
Species tested so far Human, rat, chicken
Application · Immunohistochemistry
· Suitable for frozen and paraffin sections
Reconstitution Dissolve the antiserum in 1 ml distilled water, and dilute further in 0.1 M PBS with 1% BSA and 0.1% NaN3.
Working Dilution 1:5 - 1:10 using PAP with overnight incubation at 2-8°C.
Storage At 2-8°C (undiluted) or at -20°C (aliquots)
Quantity / Volume 1 ml (lyoph.)
