Application: Fibrinogen immunoassay. Antibodies are working in ELISA and Western blotting.

Purification: Purified by chromatography on protein A Sepharose. Purity is tested by electrophoresis.

Presentation: Each vial contains antibodies in PBS, pH 7.4 containing 0.1% of sodium azide as preservative. Store at + 4 °C.

Material safety note: This product is sold as an antibody preparation for research purpose only. Standard Laboratory Practices should be followed when handling this material. Contains sodium azide (0.1%) as preservative. Although the amount of sodium azide is very small appropriate care must be taken when handling this product.

Presentation: 1 gram in 48.76ml (20.46mg/ml) 20mM Sodium Citrate-HCL/pH7.4

Activity: The batch is homogeneous as judged by 4-20% gradient gels and is greater than 95% clottable. The Plasminogen, vWF and Fibronectin were depleted using affinity chromatography.

Use: Thaw protein in 37 DEG C water bath and allow to equilabrate to 37 DEG C. This will ensure that all the protein goes into solution.

Storage: -80 DEG C Avoid frequent freeze thaws. Recommend making working aliuots and store -80 DEG C.

Note: This material was purified from human plasma that was tested and found negative for all communicable diseases, including HIV-1, HIV-2, Hepatitis B Surface antigen and HCV. Donors are screened for CJD (Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease)

Because no test method can offer complete assurance that human T-lympotropic virus type III/lymphadenopathy associated virus (HTLV-III/LAV), Hepatitis B virus, or other infectious agents are absent, this specimen/reagent should be handled at the Biosafety Level 2 as recommended for any potentially infectious human serum or blood specimen in the Center for Disease Control/National Institutes of Health manual "Biosafety in Microbiological and Biomedical Laboratories", 1984. Biosafety Level 2 practices, equipment, and facilities are applicable to clinical, diagnostic, teaching, and other facilities in which work is done with the broad spectrum of indigenous moderate-risk agents present in the community and associated with human disease of varying severity. With good microbiological techniques, those agents can be used safely in activities conducted on the open bench, provided the potential for producing aerosols is low. Hepatitis B virus, the Salmonellae, and Toxoplasma spp. are representative of microorganisms assigned to this containment level. Primary hazards to personnel working with these agents may include accidental autoinoculation, ingestion, and skin or mucus membrane exposure to infectious materials. Procedures with high aerosol potential that may increase the risk of exposure of personnel must be conducted in primary containment equipment of devices
