Human Cytokine/Growth Factor/Chemokines Sample Spec sheets (subject to change without notice):
Human RELM beta (Resistin-like molecule beta/FIZZ2) is a new member to the family of adipocyte secreted proteins called adipocytokines. This family includes the RELM alpha, RELM beta and Resistin molecules. Interestingly, RELM beta and Resistin share similar characteristics such as an additional cysteine residue within the variable N-terminal region and are both homodimeric proteins. However, the RELM beta is expressed only in the gastrointestinal track; especially the colon, while the Resistin and RELM beta are secreted exclusively by adipocytes. Currently, the biological function of these proteins, as well as their molecular targets is largely unknown. This recombinant Human RELM beta is a disulfide-linked homodimer with a total molecular weight of 19.0 kDa, consisting of two 89 amino acid residue chains.
Package Size: 25 micrograms $231.00 $219.00/pk 2 or more
MINI-PACK cat#RDI-4522p $94.00/5ug
Supplied: Lyophilized powder from 10mM NaCitrate pH3.0 with no additives.
Source: E. Coli
Purity: >97% by SDS-Page and HPLC analysis. Endotoxin level is less than 0.1ng per ug (1EU/ug)
Reconstitution: The lyophilized resistin is soluble in water and most aqueous buffers. The lyophilized powder should be reconstituted in water or 10mM NaCitrate pH3.0 to a concentration of 0.1-1mg/ml. Allow to set at least 30 minutes at 4 DEG C, tighten cap and rotate to reconstitute any material on sides of vial. If desired, you can centrifuge at 1000 rpm for 1 minute to concentrate volume in bottom of vial. This solution can be diluted into water or other buffered solutions or stored at 4 DEG C for up to 1 week or at - 20 DEG C for future use.
Note:If this material is not to be used for coating or labeling(or other applications requiring carrier free material), the addition of 0.1% BSA to dilution buffers or futher dilution in sterile culture media is recommended to enhance stability and minimize absorption to vial. Maintain stock >10ug/ml.
Storage: The lyophilized powder is stable at room temperature for a few weeks but it is best stored desiccated at -20 Deg C. Reconstituted human resistin should be stored in working aliquots at -20 DEG C. AVOID FREQUENT FREEZE THAW CYCLES.
Reactivity: not determined
