DATA SHEET:recombinant Human MCP-2

-Human macrophage chemoattractant protein-2 (MCP-2) is an 8.9 kDa protein containing 76 amino acid residues. It plays an important role in the inflammatory response of blood monocytes and tissue macrophages.

Catalog#: RDI-3042

Package Size: 10 micrograms $231.00/package   $219.00/package 2+

                      Mini-Pack:cat#RDI-3042P $94.00/2ug.  inquire for bulk

Supplied: Lyophilized powder with no additives.

Source: E. Coli

Purity: >98% by SDS-Page analysis. Endotoxin <0.1ng/ug of MCP-2

Reconstitution: The lyophilized MCP2 should be reconstituted in water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. Allow to set at least 30 minutes at 4 DEG C Mix well. If desired, centrifuge for 1-2 minutes at 1000 rpm to concentrate material in vial. This solution can be diluted into other buffered solutions or stored at -20 DEG C for future use. For most in-vitro applications, MCP-2 exerts its biological activity in the range of 100 ng/ml.

Note:If this material is not to be used for coating or labeling (or other applications requiring carrier free material), the addition of 0.1% protease free BSA to dilution buffers or dilution in sterile culture media is recommended to enhance stability and minimize absorption to vial. Ideally, maintain stock >50ug/ml.

Storage: The lyophilized powder is stable at room temperature for a few weeks but is best stored desiccated at -20 DEG Cg C. Reconstituted MCP2 should be stored in working aliquots at -20DEG C. AVOID FREQUENT FREEZE THAW CYCLES.

Reactivity: This product produced a significant increase in chemotaxis at 100 ng/ml compared to the medium control in an assay using human peripheral blood monocytes
